Operations control, firm risk and conduct

Module 05 / 5 · 70 min

Run a brokerage with sound controls: reconcile trades, handle errors, keep the firm's capital and 40% liquid assets in line, prevent conflicts and market abuse, handle complaints, and defend three advisory files to compliance.

In this module you will learn to

  • Design trade reconciliation, error handling and business continuity controls for a brokerage
  • Test the firm's liquid asset ratio under Directive No. 980/2024 and manage dealer inventory and credit risk
  • Identify conflicts of interest, churning and front-running and handle complaints and ECMA reporting
  • Defend documented recommendations for three clients and review your own firm's operations controls
